To reach the top in Summoners Kingdom: Goddess, it takes time - a lot of it, and to have a good lineup to beat all the bosses is no easy feat either. I'll share all my tips and tricks to help you better understand the game and make all the right decisions. I've spent many hours in this game and tried to figure out a lot to help me improve, so hopefully, this Summoners Kingdom: Goddess guide will come in handy.

Among the tips I've shared, I tried to focus on the tasks I find the most useful for beginners, because honestly speaking, the game has a lot of content. Not all of it is beginner-friendly, but if you are trying to play the game seriously, they are all going to be doable.

In this guide, I will share how you can get lots of summoning keys, heroes, and what you should be focusing on in the early game so you can have an easier time later on. In short, I'll show you the key to success.

Before we get started though, I want to cover the IAP aspect of the game. There are many purchases you can make in the store, but not all of them are worth it. With each event, there is a new pass added that you can buy - but is it really worth it?

To spend or not to spend - a F2P player's guide to Summoners Kingdom: Goddess

I have not spent a dime in the game, and I believe that you don't have to in order to clear the content and get lots of rewards. It's true that investing a couple of bucks could make your life easier, but that's not something you must absolutely do.

All of the tips I've shared are from a F2P player's perspective, so if you like that, I encourage you to keep reading!

Tip #1 - Summoning at all costs?

battle in summoners kingdom goddess

Right when you start playing the game, you will not have too many opportunities to summon. Once you can claim codes, there is one code that gives 100 summons, so that is the first thing you should do. You can read the Summoners Kingdom: Goddess codes article I've created if you haven't claimed the codes yet.

Then, you can start doing events and clearing stages to get more summoning keys. What I recommend is that you don't spend all of your Diamonds on the normal gacha, but instead use them for the exclusive one. In my opinion, that's better since you will have plenty of keys to use in the normal gacha anyway.

You can probably use some Diamonds in the normal gacha at the start until you have a more decent hero lineup, but afterwards, try to save the Diamonds for the exclusive one.

Tip #2 - Upgrade the right heroes

Wukong character

When it comes to upgrading the right heroes, there are a handful of them which you should most certainly focus on. I've shared them in the tier list for Summoners Kingdom: Goddess too, but I will list them again here:

  • Wukong
  • Horus
  • Raphael
  • Aphrodite
  • Valkyrie

These are the ones you should max out whenever you get them, and if you cannot get all five of them, then go for one of the heroes from the S tier (in the tier list). That's what I did until I got them all.

At the very start, you will probably have to upgrade some of the lower-priority heroes, since chances are very low that you'll get those 5 right away. That's okay, because you can reset them. However, you shouldn't upgrade all of your heroes because that will result in a lot of wasted resources.

You can start them all up

You're going to get a lot of dupes for all the heroes, so what you can do is use their respective shards to upgrade all of them. Just make sure you don't spend the universal shards for heroes you won't use. That is 100% a no-go.

Tip #3 - Clear all the daily content and complete events

Quests daily, weekly and monthly

Every day, week and month you have new quests (that repeat), so you should try to complete those as much as you can. They will give you plenty of resources, and as a free-to-play player. you will need as many as you can get your hands on.

As for the events, there are so many of them! Where should you start?

Clear all the events

To clear all the events, you should read their requirements first. Some of the events take longer to complete, while others are much more temporary. Check the rewards you get, and if there are events that give you exclusive summoning keys, Diamonds, or hero shards, go for these first. Try to complete as many of them as you can, because if you can get some free heroes from them, it's big.

Adventure stages

You also have a lot of Adventure stages, which is a lot of content to go through. These are going to give you more keys, notably the Arcade stages. These consist of mini-games like connect-the-dots and puzzles, and you should try to complete them as soon as you can to get your hands on the summoning keys.

Saving Goddess is one of the most important ones since it unlocks Sacred Objects. These can only be completed once you pass certain story stages, which takes us to the next point.

Tip #4 - Progress at your own pace, but don't fall too much behind

adventure stages

You need to keep progressing, because the more time you spend grinding one stage, the worse it is. First, you should try to reach at least Chapter 12, then slowly advance as much as you can depending on how much you've upgraded your heroes.

Since you need to have 5 heroes upgraded to continue with upgrades past a certain point, you might find yourself stuck sometimes. When that happens, you should go and complete as many of the Adventure stages as you can. These will give you more resources and you'll also get some keys to summon for new heroes.

I recommend you don't spend too much time waiting on one stage. Try to advance bit by bit, even if it's just a stage per day. The closer you get to the end stages, you more features you'll be able to unlock.

Tip #5 - Resource management: do it like a pro

Resources in bag

Let's talk resources.

Diamonds

Diamonds are the premium currency, and even if the developers are quite generous with them, you shouldn't waste them. As I mentioned previously, spending Diamonds on the exclusive summon is okay - even better if you can buy wands at a discount (to use in this summon). Don't spend them elsewhere - you'll do yourself a disservice.

Gold

You will need a lot of Gold in the end game, so even if you seem to have much more than you can handle early on, try not to spend it all in one place (the Shop). Levelling up your heroes end-game is going to be VERY expensive, and for your gear too.

As a F2P player, Gold should be always on your mind, because when you run out, you will either have to spend your Diamonds or real money to recharge Gold, which is just not worth it.

There are many other resources, but these two are the most noteworthy. As a general rule of thumb, if you have certain resources you are not sure where to invest, just save them. It's better to have extra rather than be in need during difficult times.

Tip #6 - Want to spend money? Choose the right packs

Premium packs

I am not going to list every pack you should and shouldn't buy, but if you want the best bang for your buck, go for the SP Wukong pack. It will cost a lot, so if you want to go for it, do it - otherwise, I have alternatives (for the mild-spenders).

As a F2P player, I am fine not spending any money on the game, but I realise some people might want to spend a couple of bucks for a pack if it is really worth it. Here are a few options, if you do decide to recharge:

  • $9.99 for the Mini Pass - it's great for getting some wands
  • Monthly packs (Standard Pass, Premium Pass) - these are also good, and you will get lots of Diamonds
  • Arena pass - if you like the Arena gameplay, this is worth getting

There are several other packs that could be good, but it all depends on how much you're willing to pay and what you need. Long story short, you should check your budget and see what you think is worth getting. The Clear Pack, the Stage Pack, Ascend Pack, and all the other smaller packs are fairly cheap.

Tip #7 - Other tips and tricks

heroes upgraded in the temple

I have listed here a few more tips and tricks for Summoners Kingdom: Goddess that you might find useful:

  • Don't spend your Home Coins recklessly - spend them on building other buildings, and that will help you get more.
  • Try to complete as many Home Orders as you can for more Home Coins.
  • Place your highest-level heroes in the Oath Temple, and add the lower-level heroes to each one, so they're linked and share the level.
  • Upgrade Summoning Path every time you increase a hero's rank. It will grant you additional power.
  • When you open your profile, you will see on the bottom left corner of the screen a Like button. Tap that every day 100 times for free likes.
  • Always buy SSR Shards from the Arena store when you have enough coins.
