Subterfuge is a game about stabbing your friends in the back. And sometimes in the front. Often in the side as well, and it's out right now on the App Store and Google Play Store for nowt.

The game takes place over a week, and sees you and a group of friends battling for control over a stylised map. You can send submarines out to invade other territories, and mine to find more resources.

But the core of the game is the plotting. While the mechanics are simplistic, the machinations you and your fellow players will devise can be anything but.

It becomes a game of bluff and double bluff, feint and counter feint. Build an alliance to take out a stronger player, then sweep in and take control of your ally's bases when they're busy doing your dirty work.

It's probably going to ruin a lot of friendships, but you know, in the best possible way.

The game is available to download from the App Store and Google Play Store right this second, and it won’t cost you a penny to pick it up. We'll have a review in a couple of days as well.
