Wizcorp has soft-launched its argy-bargy football game Striker Arena in three countries for iPad.

You can grab it on the Irish, Australian, and New Zealand App Stores right now for free.

This is the same game that was successfully Kickstarted in October this year.

It has you playing as a tribal football team - either Vikings of Gladiators - on a distant planet.

It's very much like a typical football game, played with taps and swipes, except there is no concept of fouling. So you push each other around to intercept and get possession.

In fact, there are power-ups on the pitch that let you punch and blast your opponents when picked up.

Whoever scores the most goals is the winner. And the losers get the delightful treatment of having the Emperor decide if they should live or die.

You can play Striker Arena in single player or have another person join you on the same tablet.

Download the game if you want to try it out if you've got the right iTunes account. Otherwise, you'll have to sit and wait until it is released globally.
