Starfront Collision HD lands on Android

Gameloft has sneaked out its hit iOS real-time strategy game Starfront: Collision HD onto its Android stores across the world with nary a whisper, despite the generally good critical reception the title received on its original release.

Starfront: Collision HD is Gameloft’s attempt at StarCraft, featuring three familiar-looking races vying for dominance by building up bases and hacking each other to bits with lasers and claws.

While the usual crowd will be holding up their placards demanding something a little less derivative, the original iOS version managed to secure itself a well-deserved Pocket Gamer Gold award on release, so it’s actually rather a good game.

Still, we’ll be sending one of our intrepid Andronauts out to test the game’s capabilities on its new home very soon, so stay tuned for a full review in the near future.

Starfront: Collision HD is available now on the Gameloft online store for £3/$4.99.
