The top iOS and Android updates this week - (October 31st)
Stardew Valley, Fortnite, Cytus II, and more
I woke up today thinking it was Tuesday, but alas we're a day ahead and that means there are updates on the cards. You've heard of what's going down with Dragalia Lost and Fortnite already, I'm sure, but that's not all that's getting tweaked.
There's been a surge of spooky updates to celebrate Halloween and plenty of unrelated updates that just make the game that bit better. We're sure you've got your favourites, but have a look at our list to see if anything jumps out at you.
1
Bacon - The Game
- Platform: iOS
If you're not familiar with Philipp Stollenmayer's games yet, they're usually quite simple and quirky, and Bacon's no different. As the name suggests it's all about bacon… more so, it's about putting bacon on everything – the Statue of Liberty, the moon, you name it. And this update gives you 30 more things to throw bacon on, though I'm not one of them unfortunately.
2
Cytus II
3
Dragalia Lost
In case you missed our news piece on it earlier, Dragalia Lost's new Summon Showcase is now live and there's a lot to digest. From now until November 14th, more adventurers, dragons, and wyrmprints will be more likely to appear during play so don't miss out on taking advantage of this event while it lasts.
4
Fire Emblem: Heroes
5
Fortnite
- Platform: iOS/Android
Whether you missed it last week or haven't gotten around to it yet, Fortnite's Fortnitemares event is still going strong, but you don't have much longer to play it. Enjoy a whole set of spooky challenges every day for new in-game cosmetics, especially while you wait for version 6.21 which got delayed by a day. I'll update this entry tomorrow.
6
PES Club Star Soccer
After the previous update fixed the bug where you couldn't even play PES on iPhone XS or XS Max, this time around there's a bunch of updated content to get down with. There's new player animations, modified match AI, a brand new mode (which lets you put together your very own team), and a few other minor bits and bobs which'll just make your time with the game more enjoyable.
7
Stardew Valley
- Platform: iOS
One of the absolute best parts about Stardew Valley is that bugs are crushed pretty quickly. Where a few tweaks last week helped with exiting the sides of the screen, listening to music in the background, and more, this time there are further corrections. These include a resolution fix on the iPhone XR, letting you tap and hold to move before casting your fishing line, and a few more bits.
