Stardew Valley creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone released the highly awaited 1.5 update to the game on consoles yesterday after a lengthy certification process across all three platforms. While Switch owners can now access this new content, it unfortunately does seem like mobile has not received the update.

The 1.5 update is possibly the biggest update added to the game so far, bringing an entirely new region to the game in the form of Ginger Island. With the addition of this location, new NPCs, stories, items, dialogue, events, enemies and puzzles have also been added to Stardew Valley.

Furthermore, the 1.5 update adds local co-op to the game, meaning you can now farm together with another person sitting in the same room as you. The actual patch notes are extremely huge, so it’s worth checking out everything that’s changed in this update here.

So if you play the game on Nintendo Switch you can now go and access all that hefty new content.Unfortunately, it does not seem like this update has hit mobile yet, but Barone teased in a tweet made back in December that it would be coming to iOS and Android eventually. The only difference between the two versions once 1.5 releases on mobile will be that there is no co-op in the mobile version.

As far as our understanding goes, while Barone retains control of Stardew Valley on PC and consoles, its previous publisher Chucklefish handles the mobile side of the game.

We’ll be sure to update you when we learn more about Stardew Valley’s 1.5 update coming to mobile. For now you can check it out on the iOS App Store or the Google Play for Android store, where it is a paid title costing £3.99.
