Orange Pixel developer behind punishing Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning title Meganoid is set to release new platformer Stardash for both iPhone and Android.

Stardash will hit Google's and Apple's online markets with four worlds to explore, 36 levels to master, and four secret temples to discover.

You can unlock the latter by finding and collecting hidden keys that are scattered throughout the game's levels.

You'll be able to control your character using your device's touchscreen, with keyboard, Wii Remote, and Xperia Play support on board for the Android version of the game.

Pay as you go

Stardash will be available on the Android Market from the 22nd of September, in both ad-supported and paid varieties.

It will also be available on the App Store on the same day, providing it gets past Apple's strict approval process unscathed.

Check out some footage of the game below.
