Co-op space shooter Star Battalion now available for iPhone

Space shooter Star Battalion has been released for iPhone and iPod touch.
The colourful graphics and high-flying action are worth noting, but it's the local and online cooperative multiplayer that should have you doing a double-take.
Gameloft's aerial action game is a rarity among iPhone titles in this regard, allowing you to link up wireless with a buddy for co-op locally (wi-fi or Bluetooth) or online via Game Center.
You're given a choice of four different aircraft, each with specific weapons suited to a particular tactical style. Considering the variety of enemies and environments, knowing when to utilise each type of craft could be key to success.
If you own an iPhone 4 or fourth-generation iPod touch, you'll benefit from gyroscope support and high-resolution graphics.
Don't fret if you have an older device, as previous Gameloft titles such as Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus and Ultimate Spider: Total Mayhem still exude visual pizazz when played on older iPhone and iPod touch handsets.
