Nintendo has confirmed that a new level is being added to Splatoon 2's multiplayer rotation. But don't expect it to pop up all the time, as it's only going to be available during Splatfest events.

The map is called Shifty Station, and it's going to be different every time you play on it. So when Nintendo says shifty it means that the level alters itself, not that it's a dodgy sort of place where no self-respecting Splatoon-er would ever be caught dead.

The first Splatfest is scheduled to start this weekend, and it revolves around ketchup and mayo. Which side will you choose in the great condiment war?

If you've not played Splatoon 2 yet, maybe this snippet from our review, where we gave the game a Gold Award, will sway you:

"Splatoon 2 remains one of the most fun and inventive shooters we've seen this generation, and one every Switch owner should have in their library."
