Old skool iPhone shmup Space Invaders Infinity Gene shoots over to Android

Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning iPhone and iPad shoot-'em-up Space Invaders Infinity Gene has finally fired up its engines and warped onto the Android Market.

Inspired by Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, the game transforms as you play, due to an evolutionary tree-shaped main menu.

Your path through the game is influenced by your own ability and strategy, with new branches of the tree becoming available as you unlock new spaceships, stages, background music, and more.

On review, former Pocket Gamer maestro Spanner Spencer noted that, "Few games have managed to enhance their own reputation and addictiveness as admirably as Infinity Gene."

If that tickles your fancy, you can grab it from the Android Market now for £2.99/$4.99.
