South Park Imaginationland heads to mobile

And it's based on one of our all-time favourites

South Park Imaginationland heads to mobile

South Park Imaginationland was actually announced earlier this year by Comedy Central, but now its publisher, RealArcade, has unveiled the first screenshots and proper gameplay details.

So, the game sees you playing Butters, bouncing through 60 levels of Imaginationland collecting items, offering a mixture of pinball and puzzling.

Sounds familiar? A-ha. What we didn't know when the game was originally announced is that it's based on the engine from an earlier RealArcade game, Turbo Camels: Circus Extreme.

The downside of the new version, clearly, is no camel to bounce around. The upside is that the addition of the South Park licence will hopefully ensure more people buy this version, based as it is on one of our all-time favourite mobile games.

Anyway, South Park Imaginationland is out soon, although RealArcade is only talking about the mobile version so far.

Back when it was first announced, an iPhone version was also promised. But with Apple having publishers' guts for garters if they leak details of their iPhone titles in advance of the App Store's launch on July 11th, perhaps it's not surprising that RealArcade isn't giving more info on that edition just yet.
