Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic The Hedgehog 2 are available on iOS right now for just 69p/99c

If you don't already own either Sonic The Hedgehog or Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on iOS, then now is the time to right that wrong.

These are the original Sonic games from the early '90s. However, they do boast graphical improvements, more playable characters, and new levels.

We gave Sonic The Hedgehog a Bronze Award on iOS back in 2009. We said that it "hooks you up with speed platforming and surprisingly decent controls, yet doesn't marry itself fully to the potential afforded by the platform".

We felt let down by the sequel on account of performance and control issues. Still, they're classics and they've been updated since those initial reviews.
