Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II zipping onto iOS tomorrow

Sega wasn't telling fibs when it said that Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II would be launching itself onto mobiles "as close to May 16th as possible" - it's out tomorrow.
The second entry in the rebooted 2D series sees Sonic reunited with his old pal Tails, bounding, rolling, and in some cases flying across rather spiffy-looking worlds to stop Dr Robotnik / Eggman doing his usual 'evil thang'.
Hey, Sonic!Tails isn't just there to get in the way, mind. You can now join hands with the two-tailed fox to create a massive whirling ball of death, as well as float along while holding onto his trainers.
You can also join up with a friend over Bluetooth, and choose to play as Sonic before your buddy realises what's going on.
Additionally, those of you with Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode I already installed on your iOS device will be able to unlock Metal Sonic and four "reworked" stages from the first game that let you "experience the story of Metal Sonic's revival after his defeat in Sonic CD!" Exclamation mark, indeed.
Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II will be out tomorrow as a Universal app, priced £4.99 / $6.99.
