Sonic Dream Team is coming to Apple Arcade next month
Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog franchise has been around for over three decades now, spreading across video games, comic books, animated movies, as well as live-action remakes. The mobile games alone have been downloaded more than 1.6 billion times. It’s finally time for another entry as Sonic Dream Team was just announced for Apple Arcade.
Sega has just announced that Sonic Dream Team is coming to Apple’s gaming service early next month. It is a 3D action platformer that brings back all the fan favourite characters for another ride. The evil Doctor Eggman has returned with a new plan for world dominion. This time, he has discovered a mysterious relic called The Reverie, which has the power to manifest dreams into the real world.
Eggman now has the power to transform the world into twisted and hellish landscapes, however he sees fit, and it is up to Sonic and the rest of the squad to put an end to it. A total of six playable characters will be available - Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Cream and Rouge. Each is vastly different from the other and brings something unique to the table.
The game expands from the Green Hill region and is spread over 12 tricky stages taking place across four distinctive dream worlds. They will all have environments like no other, ranging from the ability to run on walls to variations in gravity. Characters will have three movement types which provide diverse exploration opportunities while venturing through these dreamscapes.
In addition to that, there are four major boss battles, each putting your skills to the test. Different movement types will come in handy for different battles, so it’s important to master them all.
Sonic Dream Team will release on Apple Arcade on December 5th alongside several other Sega titles such as Sonic Racing, Samba de Amigo: Party-To-Go, and Football Manager 2023 Touch.
