SNO Snow White takes you on a perspective-shifting adventure to a snowy planet
  • SNO Snow White is out now, offering Metroidvania mobile action
  • Shift perspectives to solve puzzles by using a first-person view in a 2D world
  • Get new abilities and equipment to explore, while solving a mystery on the frozen world of Snow White

Perspective is an important part of the gaming landscape. 2D, 3D, and everything in between. But what if you could shift perspectives on a whim? Well, that's what SNO Snow White is all about, and its sprawling sci-fi story means you'll be shifting perspectives (literally) all the time as it arrives on iOS and Android.

Set on the titular planet of Snow White, you follow our grinning hero Global (yes, really) as he tries to track down a former comrade on this forbidding frozen world. You'll need to uncover the planet's secrets, solve puzzles and battle otherworldly monsters to figure out the truth at the heart of Snow White.

Key to this is your ability to change perspectives. While SNO is mainly 2D, you'll be able to shift into a 3D perspective to uncover hidden obstacles and features that can help you along, such as new platforms to make a tricky jump. Simply hit this holographic feature with your AD ball and the new path will materialise!

Snowed out

Much like a Metroidvania, SNO also promises plenty of new abilities to uncover that you can use to navigate new areas that were previously inaccessible. But the pure 2D action is very much there, complete with the protagonist lugging a satisfyingly huge sword with which to dispatch enemies.

The combination of classic Metroidvania action and the additional perspective-shifting mechanic (while not unheard of before) is sure to make SNO Snow White an interesting play for those of you out there looking to expand your repertoire of 2D puzzle-platformers.

And if you do get a taste for the genre from playing SNO, then you'll be glad to know there are plenty of great options there should you choose to dive in further. Check out our list of the top 25 best platformers on iOS and Android to get yourself started!
