We've mentioned Skyhill before, but now its developer is seeking funding on Indiegogo so it can continue creating the game.

We think it's a promising-looking title and reckon it might be worth the $7 minimum pledge for a full copy of the game on PC.

So, for the sake of those not familiar with Skyhill, let's fill you in now...

Skyfall

How bad is it when you're on the top floor of a skyscraper and the elevator stops working?

Pretty bad, right? Well, things just got worse.

Skyhill is a post-apocalyptic roguelike, you see. You play a chap who sits safe and sound in his elegant suite at the top of Skyhill hotel while World War III takes place around him. He must be a heavy sleeper.

As room service is no longer an option, you have to get out of the hotel to find the resources needed to survive. On the way down, you'll encounter what's left of humanity. And they are ugly, hostile beasts, I'm afraid.

You'll do battle with those, of course. But you'll also have to deal with environmental puzzles, such as fixing the hotel's electrics and dodging lethal traps.

During your gradual descent, you should also find equipment, water, and maybe some other survivors if you're really lucky.

As Skyhill developer The Mandragora Team puts it, this is a game about "staying alive when there is no reason to". That doesn't mean there's no reason to play the game, though. In fact, if you're on PC, you can play an early demo in your browser right now.

We're more interested in the mobile versions of Skyhill. Those are on the way (not in demo form) and will be released around the same time as the PC version.

Fancy giving this roguelike your support? Spread the word about the Indiegogo campaign or pledge some money towards it yourself, if you wish.
