Skiing Yeti Mountain is an isometric skiing game that nails its core mechanics and provides a satisfying mobile simulation of the real life sport.

Not only that, but half of its proceeds will be donated to charity. Considering that there's only one IAP that removes ads, you could say Skiing Yeti Mountain nails how to do free to play as well.

It's entirely controlled with a single thumb, which you use to maneuver your character past a series of flags as he whizzes his way to the bottom of the mountain.

Aesthetically, it's a bit Minecraft meets Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery - very pretty in a minimal way. The wildlife you have to avoid as you carve a path down the mountain is a nice touch and makes the world feel more alive.

There's also a nice progression system, where you level up to unlock more cosmetic gear for your character.

Peter was quite taken with it at review, and described it as "a future classic. The quintessential winter sports experience on mobile."

Fancy trying it? Good on you. Simply head on over to Google Play [download] to get your grubby little mitts on it.
