Prepare to pop Singular's exploding and evolving red circles on iOS and Android
|
| Singular

Playing Singular is comparable to squishing large red zits that multiply if you accidentally smear them into one another.

Luckily, Singular isn't as gross as that.

Singular is Francois Alliot's first game (which he originally made for Ludum Dare last December), so the pressure's on to deliver something special.

The game looks basic... and is. You tap the red circles to make them explode, with the aim being to clear the screen.

As the circles explode, they let out a force in all directions that will push the other circles. If a red circle touches the green circle (that's Mr Green to you), then you lose. If two red circles touch, they multiply at a frightening rate.

That much was in the 19 levels of the Ludum Dare version of Singular. When the final iOS and Android versions of it surface in March or April, though, it will boast 50 levels, many more puzzle mechanics, and a storyline.

Apparently, the red circles start to get organised and evolve. They also employ the help of other creatures against Mr Green.

Furthermore, there will be an endless high score mode and a workshop in the mobile version. So, yes, you will be able to create your own creatures.
