If you've been checking in with us for a while now (and why wouldn't you?) you may recall that we've been covering the upcoming re-release of action puzzler Serial Cleaner, and those of you who are eager to live out your 70s crime-scene cleaning fantasies need wait no longer! Because Serial Cleaner is out now on iOS and Android.
In Serial Cleaner you play as, well, a crime scene cleaner. That means your job is to race around to the aftermath of mob hits and other nefarious misdeeds, ensuring that any evidence is scrubbed from existence. Oh, and did we mention that the police are very much around and watching out for you?
Similar to something like Hotline Miami, the puzzle here is not necessarily in how you go about cleaning up, but in how fast you do it. You'll need to evade the police and carefully plot your route to get the job done as quickly as possible by studying patrol patterns and mapping out the fastest route. All while under the influence of a seriously nasty pair of '70s sideburns and a moustache.
Serial Cleaner is actually a bit of a mini-franchise, having spawned a modern-day-set sequel. However, the re-release of Serial Cleaner on mobile doesn't seem to sport much to differentiate it from the original aside from updated compatibility with more modern OS. That's still welcome of course but I reckon more than a few of you were likely hoping for a bit of a freshening up in terms of additional maps or other touches.
