Sentinel 3 to support iPad in forthcoming update

Sentinel 3: Homeworld, the outstanding iPhone and iPod touch tower defence title that earned a coveted gold award last month, is being updated to support iPad.

Currently available for iPhone and iPod touch, developer Origin8 plans to update the game into a universal app, making it possible to download one app and play it on any Apple device.

The update is under development and is expected to arrive on the App Store within the next two weeks.

In the meantime, downloading Sentinel 3 and enjoying it on your iPhone or iPod touch isn't a bad idea. The game's sophisticated mix of tactics and role-playing make for a challenging, yet rewarding experience.

Origin8 is considering downloadable content for in-app purchase at the beginning of next year, specifically noting the possibility of iPad-exclusive content.

Sentinel 3: Homeworld is available for iPhone and iPod touch at special sale price of £1.79/$2.99. A free update introducing iPad support will be available in mid-December.
