A mobile version of 3DS puzzler Scribblenauts Unlimited has just shown up on the iOS App Store - and it's yours for £3.99 / $4.99.

Once again, you play as Maxwell - a kid with a magic notepad, who can summon any object you can think of just by writing it's name. You'll use this stuff - ladders, space stations, Cthulhu, etc - to solve free-form puzzles.

New for Unlimited is a large open world to explore, instead of separate puzzle levels. You can also attach objects together to make, say, a dog with wheels. And you can now customise stuff with scaling and colouring tools.

This mobile version also seems to come with exclusive new characters like hipster Lincoln and robo Einstein.

We gave the 3DS version a Gold Award back in 2012 and said " Scribblenauts Unlimited hones the original open creativity concept, and comes away with a fine-tuned must-have experience".
