'80s-themed iOS title Saturday Morning RPG receives substantial update

'80s cartoon-inspired iOS game Saturday Morning RPG has just received a mammoth update, which features a multitude of new options, bug fixes, and gameplay tweaks.

If you're already knuckle-deep in this Gold Award-winning title but have noticed a few jarring difficulty spikes, then you'll be pleased to read that Joystick Labs has decided to re-balance the enemies.

This means that Lizard Wizards won't take as many hits to kill, Commander Hood's armour will be easier to penetrate, and Skeleboar won't be as twitchy with the "heal" command.

The dev has overhauled the control interface of Saturday Morning RPG, too, meaning you can now lock the floating joystick in one place, rather than have it follow your thumb around the screen like an overzealous puppy.

There are even some revamped restart options included in this new update, which make it possible for you to pick up episodes from where you left off using tapes, and transport back to the overworld if a battle goes awry.

If you've yet to experience the nostalgia trip that is Saturday Morning RPG, you can download Episode 1 on the App Store for free now. Episode 2 will set you back £1.49 / $1.99 via an IAP.
