Saint Seiya Awakening receives its first big update featuring new chapters, modes and more

Released earlier this year, Saint Seiya Awakening has received its first large update that brings a plethora of new content to the RPG. This includes new chapters, game modes and a PVP competition.

It's latest story addition, the Poseidon Chapter will see players do battle against the Seven Sea Generals and Poseidon himself. Alongside new battles, there's also new background music to enjoy. To coincide with this sea-based story update Sea Dragon Kanon and his twin Gemini Saga will be readded to the summon pool.

There will be various events surrounding the two of them through events and other pieces of content that you'll need to log in every day to make the most of. 10 new Marinas will also join the battle during the Poseidon Chapter.

The latest update also brings two new game modes to Saint Seiya. The first is called The Shrine. In this mode, you will have to complete the trial of the Element. Successfully completing this will net you an SS Cosmo. The second is called The Coffers which will be an opportunity to earn yourself some gold coins.

The final update is a reminder of the upcoming PVP competition. Registration to take part in the Jamir Championship closes this Sunday. So if you fancy yourself as a pretty decent Saint Seiya player, don't forget to register to take part in the 18-day competition.

If you're unfamiliar with Saint Seiya Awakening, it's an RPG that's based on the popular Manga and Anime. You assemble a team of Saints, through Gacha mechanics, and then take them into battle. Some will synergise better together than others, so it's up to you to find combos that work well for you.

Saint Seiya Awakening is available now on the App Store and Google Play. It is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
