Infinity Blade meets Dead Space
Speedbump Studios's Unreal Engine-powered Robot Gladi8tor has just blasted onto the New Zealand App Store, meaning this 3D open-world swipe-fighting game will be available in the UK and US from midnight this evening.
Forced to battle robots for the amusement of audiences tuning in throughout the galaxy, you play a space marine referred to as Number 8.
Though you are stranded on a derelict space station, you are armed with titanium exo-skeletal fists that give you a fighting chance of staying alive in this hostile robot-infested environment.
Survival of the fastestTo survive in Robot Gladi8tor, then, you will have to frequently engage in first-person battles with robotic opponents. To dodge and then ultimately defeat them, you have to swipe across the screen at the perfect time.
The presentation looks top notch, with an original score composed by Isaias Garcia lending the game oodles of atmosphere.
Robot Gladi8tor is out from midnight tonight as a Universal app, priced £1.99 / $2.99.
