If you've ever wondered what is going through the mind of a granny driver, then the upcoming update for Reckless Racing will deliver an answer.

The iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad racer is getting a new playable character, Granny.

Rather than being a slow-going grandmutha, she's an off-road speed demon. Just look at her broken glasses - no doubt she's seen more than her fair share of crashes.

Also planned is a new Frozen Lake track, seen in the screenshots to the right. Of course, you can drive Granny in the new track, as well as any of the five original venues.

The new content is welcome, as one of the minor criticisms made in our review was the lack of a more structured single-player campaign. While this doesn't directly address that issue, it does bulk up on the game's value.

Neither EA Mobile nor developer Polarbit has announced a release date for the update, although it's reasonable to expect it before the end of the year.

Reckless Racing is available now for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad at a special Thanksgiving sale price of 59p/99c.
