It look like there's every possibility Rayman Legends could find its way onto Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita in the future.

Though the title debuted at E3 as part of Nintendo's Wii U line-up, Ubisoft's representative was hesitant to limit the game's release potential to the Wii's successor alone.

"We're not really saying it's a Wii U exclusive," senior game manager Michael Micholic revealed to Joystiq.

"We're looking at a lot of different launch options... but right now we're just talking about the Wii U."

A leap of faith

Given that the Gold Award-winning Rayman Origins made the jump from home consoles to both the PS Vita and 3DS, it's not too much of a stretch to imagine that the sequel might follow in its predecessor's critically-acclaimed footsteps.

Rayman Legends is due to arrive sometime during the Wii U's launch window, which at least one Ubisoft rep believes will be this November.
