Epic fantasy RPG sequel Ravensword: Shadowlands strides boldly into the Android realm

Crescent Moon's ambitious RPG sequel Ravensword: Shadowlands is now available on Android devices.

Following on from the expansive - if flawed - quest-'em-up Ravensword: The Fallen King, this fresh slice of Elder Scrolls-inspired entertainment lit up iPhone and iPad screens late last year.

Set in a vast 3D world, Ravensword: Shadowlands contains an intimidating array of creatures to discover and slay. Whether you were born to stab giant spiders, or loose arrows at dinosaurs, this game has you covered.

Reacting to criticism of the first game, the Ravensword: Shadowlands team has beefed up some of the franchise's RPG mechanics.

For example, the slightly anaemic skill development system has been fleshed out a little. You can also customise your weaponry with enchanted gems to give your blades a magical boost.

In spite of a couple of combat-related issues in Ravensword: Shadowlands, we declared it "one of the best iOS RPGs of 2012".

If you're an Android user who's been waiting to join this particular RPG party, you can now download Ravensword: Shadowlands from Google Play [buy] and the Amazon Appstore [buy] for £4.63 / $6.99.

Warning: Some users have been experiencing a bug which causes the game to crash after the first troll battle. So, you know: buyer beware and all that.
