Slitherine will bring turn-based chariot racer Qvadriga to iPad and Android tablets
Time for a whipping
Strategy game enthusiast Slitherine is bringing its PC chariot racing game Qvadriga to iPad and Android tablets in the future.
Although Qvadriga concerns chariot racing in ancient Roman circuses, it is most certainly a strategy game. Because unlike other racing games, Qvadriga is played in turns.
As you're watching a four-horse chariot careen around the oval track, every few seconds the game will pause, offering a set of available options.
You'll want to consider your position on the track, where your competitors are located, and prepare for taking a corner or sprinting down a straight.
So the options include: shake reins, whip your horses, change lanes, keep tight to curves, avoid incoming attacks, block your enemies's path, and lacerate your opponents. Brutal.
Slitherine says the tablet version of Qvadriga will sport "a huge campaign, historic factions, 43 historically modeled circuses, and upgrade and customisation systems".
Slitherine hasn't given any clues as to when we can expect Qvadriga to arrive, but we'll let you know as soon as we do. You can find more information over on its website.
