Professor Layton and the Curious Village gets European release date on DS

After nine long months of waiting, Belgian gaming site 9 Lives is reporting the European release for Professor Layton and the Curious Village as November 7th.

The hit puzzle-based game, which provides new challenges to gamers via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, has gone down a storm in both the US and Japan, who've been enjoying it for the better part of 2008 (check out our Gold Award Professor Layton and the Curious Village review). European DS gamers have been perched on the edges of their seats waiting to see what all the fuss is about, so the news will come as a great relief.

All the functions are fully intact for the European version, so the weekly puzzle updates will ensure we receive the same gaming longevity that's made the game such a success in the US and Japan. Drop a comment on our forums and let us know if it was worth the wait, pocket gamers.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
