Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!'s creepy new trailer takes us to Lavender Town

Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! got a very scary Japanese trailer today to celebrate Halloween and the games’ impending release on the Switch. The new video takes us to the iconic Lavender Town, featuring a poor, terrified Pikachu and some ghostly sights.

Lavender Town will look quite familiar to fans of classic Pokemon games. The city’s even been recreated with a remastered version of its eerie theme song which carries a pretty creepy legend with it in real life. The new footage shows a trainer walking through the streets, trailed by a lonely little Cubone. Could it be the orphaned Cubone whose mother haunts the Pokemon Tower? I guess we’ll have to play the game to find out.

Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! are lighter versions of the original Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow games. We were lucky enough to preview the game, and found that it will likely delight long-time fans and newcomers both.

Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! launch on the Nintendo Switch on November 16.
