The Pocket Gamer Awards are a celebration of the best in mobile games, from the publishers of the leading and longest-running mobile games website. Since 2006, Pocket Gamer has been delivering news, reviews, tips, guides and features that inform and entertain mobile and handheld gamers around the world.

Organised by industry experts but voted on by you, the fans, the Pocket Gamer Awards reward the passion and effort that developers pour into making games.

The process unfolded in three stages. Here’s how it worked:

STEP 1: NOMINATIONS

We revealed the categories and invited the world – that includes you and your pals – to nominate their favourite game in each category. This process lasted around a month and helped us build the longlist for the awards.

This stage is now completed, thank you to everybody who submitted nominations for consideration for the awards!

Any game that was released between 1 October 2024 and 30 September 2025 was eligible as a new release, while some categories lean instead on mobile gaming's vast back catalogue.

STEP 2: VOTES

We totalled up the responses and make sure nothing important was missed. From this, we created a shortlist. We revealed that shortlist right here and then fans and players had a month to vote on their choices from it.

You appeared in droves and voted for your favourites. Voting closed on December 20th and we got to work tallying the votes ahead of the big announcement.

STEP 3: WINNERS

In February, we hosted our awards ceremony online to reveal the winners of each of the categories in a celebration of the greatest games.
