Despite Pixel Noir's first Kickstarter campaign going badly last year this second attempt has gone very well.

It's going so well, in fact, that the stretch goal for a 3DS version has been reached.

Developer SWDTech Games was asking for $50,000 on Kickstarter to bring the game to Nintendo's handheld and it has been reached with only hours left to go. Phew.

This means that Pixel Noir should be heading to PS Vita, 3DS, PC, PS4, and Xbox One once it's finished. That's predicted to be by the end of 2016 at this point.

Pixel Noir is a JRPG-inspired detective game. You investigate cases around a dark and corrupt city, searching for clues, and getting in turn-based fights with thugs.

It will have music by the Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta.
