Persona Q shows you exactly how Etrian its odyssey will be
Five minutes of delicious gameplay to enjoy
It's been awhile since Atlus USA's told us anything about Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth.
While that hasn't actually changed today, we do have a great new glimpse at the game courtesy of Atlus (Japan) and our friends over at TinyCartridge.
The five-and-a-half minute trailer below shows you just about everything you can expect from Persona Q when it comes to North America this fall.
Sure, the voiceover's in Japanese - but there's plenty to feast your eyes on even if you can't understand what's being talked about.
Atlus told us that Persona Q’s gameplay would be reminiscent of that found in the Award-winning Etrian Odyssey franchise, but we didn't expect it to feature the same map-drawing mechanic, first-person combat, and overworld FOE system of EO.
And while Persona Q's first-person combat is a departure for the Persona franchise, it's nice to see that characters will leap forward to attack and summon Personas when you call on them.
More impressively, however, Atlus really managed to wring a surprising amount of emotion and expression out of the chibi characters from Persona 3 and Persona 4.
While they certainly look cutesy, it's clear that they'll have a good range of reactions for players to look forward to.
We don't have a firm release date for Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth just yet - nor have we heard anything about its European release - but we'll keep you updated as soon as we know more.
