Overdox, Haegin's melee-focused battle royale, has recently been updated to bring a 4v4 mode to the game alongside a few new costumes. The much-requested game type is available now once you've updated your version of the game.

It's quite the departure from the normal mode that Overdox launched with. Instead of a battle royale setup, this will be 4v4 matches that follow the Team Deathmatch rule set with elements of Domination thrown in. Players will be able to respawn whenever they are killed and the aim of the game will be to get the most points by killing their opponents. There will also be Giant Monsters that can be killed for points too.

Beyond that, this game mode won't have location-specific credit shops, so players will be able to access the shop wherever they are in the arena. Additionally, there will be Credit Devices scattered around the map that can be captured to earn credits, giving some objectives to fight over.

The items purchased from the shop will also work differently. Most of these items will now affect the whole team rather than just the individual so players will have to consider what's useful for their squad rather just focusing on themselves. That's the theory at least, we all know at least one person who's always an individual even when in a team.

Aside from the new game mode, a costume system has also been introduced. This will allow players a little more flexibility with how their contender looks. This ranges from simply being able to change the colour of your armour to being able to stick a Rudolph or shark head onto your character. These changes are purely cosmetic so they won't affect stats.

Overdox is available now on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
