If you long for the days of the Game Boy Advance - you know, when life was simpler and you didn't have to worry about how many dimensions everything was in - then today's your lucky day. That's because Robert Broglia has released a new GBA emulator on the Google Play Store.

Fully optimised for the Xperia Play - but also tried and tested on a handful of touchscreen Android devices - GBA.emu offers you a simple way to relive the halcyon days of single-screen Nintendo handhelds.

It's recommended for 'droid handsets with a 1GHz or faster processor, and features a customisable touchscreen interface for those whose phones don't have slide-out controllers.

Rep to protect

Broglia has created plenty of other emulators for Android, and is widely regarded as one of the best developers working in the field at the moment.

The GBA.emu emulator doesn't ship with any ROMs, as you'd imagine, so you're going to have to do a little bit of detective work to track down some games to play once you've installed the emulator.

And to help you on your way, you can download GBA.emu from the Google Play Store by clicking here.
