PlayStation Day: SCEE President David Reeves's keynote presentation
PSP gets a couple of mentions, at least...

As you may or may not know, depending on your level of knowledge/interest on the subject, Sony has been holding a conference called the PlayStation Day today, and this afternoon SCEE President David Reeves, along with his SCEI counterpart Kaz Hirai, delivered a keynote on the future of Sony, as well as inviting guest speakers to preview a few of the coming year's bigger titles.
Continuing the building of momentum for the console, the emphasis was very much on PS3, with games like Killzone 2, Gears of War 2, Motorstorm 2, and a sublime-looking Mirror's Edge all getting swanky presentations. Also of interest to gamers generally was a clip of Little Big Planet, and an announcement that the incorrigible PlayStation Home will be a few more months late to the party.
But what about PSP? Well, there was less on offer for owners of the handheld. Reeves again confirmed end-of-year 07 global hardware sales of 34 million, before evangelising about user-generated content and community, with Buzz! being the key game. Not for the first time, Reeves spoke of a new service called MyBuzz, which will enable users to create questions and upload them to PSN. Buzz! for PSP was recently announced, so hopefully what's good for the goose will also be good for the gander.
Reeves also spoke a little about new puzzle game echochrome, which he called "the Rubik's cube for the PlayStation generation", but didn't reveal anything new other than a swanky advert in which an attractive couple played the game in an expensive-looking flat while men in white bodysuits rolled an apple around. It's out in the US now and expected (though not confirmed) in June for Europe.
Outside gaming, Reeves spoke a little about the forthcoming Go!Explore and its sister app Go!View, but we've covered both before. They'll be coming imminently and June 30th (in the UK), respectively, and you'll find more info here.
Other than that, you didn't miss much.
