Galaxy S II available as early as the 27th April
|

Samsung has already announced that its new flagship high-end Android phone, the Galaxy S II, will be released here in the UK on the 1st of May, but it seems that those desperate to get their hands on the phone may be able to pick it up slightly earlier.

Phones4U has now revealed that it is looking to send out pre-orders for the dual-core handset for the 27th of April - a whole four days before everyone else.

Why get excited about this phone? Well, it’s the most powerful dual-core Android Gingerbread handset out there, managing to pip the current leader - LG’s Optimus 2x - by a whole 0.2GHz in terms of clock speed.

To pre-order through Phones4U means having to get a contract handset with Orange, which might not suit everybody. But at least you’ll have a nice new phone a few days in advance of everyone else, right?
