Don't wait for the January sales: PSP bargains are available now
Recent releases and timeless favourites

Younger readers may find it difficult to believe but remarkable as it may sound, once upon a time, the January sales took place in January. The pressure of commercial competitiveness, combined with growing consumerist urges, soon saw the timeframe slip to Boxing Day. These days, it's not unusual to see retailers start their discounting before Christmas.
Take Play.com's Monster Sale, which has starts today and offers up to 80 per cent off the shop's goods. Resisting the temptation to fill our office with remote control micro aeroplanes and replica lightsabers, we headed for the game section.
On PSP, there are some genuine bargains to be had. Tomb Raider Anniversary, Tony Hawk's Project 8 and TOCA Racing Driver 3 Challenge, at just £14.99 each, seem obvious contenders.
We'd also argue the recently released Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command, while not without issues, becomes a more enticing proposition when you can have it delivered to your doormat for £17.99.
But, predictably, it's the older titles that offer the greatest pleasure-for-pound reward. Consider, then, Lumines II and Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins for a mere £9.99 each.
Clearly, none of these are likely to get to you before Christmas, but order now and you could just get something to fill the Boxing Day-New Years void with.
