Astraware's Hogmanay Party is open to all

Celebrate the new year with cheap smartphone games

So who's already broken their resolutions? You know, the ones about getting fit, swearing off the cider, and never waking up naked in a gutter at 4am with only a seal for company. Or is that just me?

Anyway, a far better resolution for 2007 is to fill your smartphone with cool games without stretching your wallet. Publisher Astraware is keen to help out, with its Annual Hogmanay Party. Which unlike this year's actual Hogamnay parties in Scotland, HASN'T been cancelled due to a bit of wind.

The party runs until 11th January, and involves a host of games for PDAs and Windows Mobile smartphones being sold for bargain prices. The company promises there'll be different offers every day, so it's worth checking the Party page regularly to see what's up.

As an example, today you can buy colourful puzzler Big Box of Blox (pictured) for $9.95. The US prices means you'll need a credit card, but on the upside, the strong exchange rate means you're getting a smartphone game for around a fiver.
