Naruto X Boruto Ninja Tribes, Bandai Namco's fast-paced battler, opens for pre-registration on iOS and Android

After a fairly lengthy wait, Bandai Namco's Naruto X Boruto Ninja Tribes has finally opened for pre-registration in the US and Canada. It's an all-new game set in the world of the beloved Naruto and Boruto anime series.

Gameplay-wise, it's a fast-paced, team-based battler featuring popular characters from across the series. Fan-favourites including Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura will fight against or alongside Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki. You can also expect to see some other well-known fighters such as Ino-Shika-Cho and Gaara.

The game makes use of an intuitive one-touch combat system to keep things fast and fluid, allowing you to perform impressive special moves and ninjutsu attacks with relative ease. You're also going to be able to enhance your shinobi skills and equipment through intense training. The rewards you'll earn along the way should hopefully make the game's challenging raid bosses a little less intimidating.

The 2D visuals and flashy animations will no doubt please fans of the anime, and it's also interesting to hear that the whole thing can be played on mobile or via your browser.

Naruto X Boruto Ninja Tribes has so far amassed over 70,000 pre-registrations for the browser version alone – a number I'm sure the mobile versions will top in no time flat. As usual, the more players that pre-register, the better the rewards will be.

Crunchyroll Games is actually on board as a launch partner for the browser version, meaning you can access the game from their official site, though Bandai Namco is seemingly the main creative force behind this one. If you need to catch up on Naruto's latest episodes, you can do so right now over on Crunchyroll.com.

The Android version of the game can be played using the same login account, but it's unclear as to whether that means progress can be transferred between the browser and Android versions.

You'll find more info over on Naruto X Boruto Ninja Tribes' official Facebook page, and you can pre-register to play right now on both the App Store and Google Play.
