- My Little Pomodoro is a new take on the popular time management technique
- Gain rewards for focusing and grow your character's living space
- Get some exercise with a squatting minigame and maximise your productivity
The Pomodoro technique is something which many consider to be a bit of a fad, but some find very effective at increasing their productivity, especially when paired with gaming aspects. Heck, even I use it. But for some of you, setting a timer probably doesn't feel all that engaging, which is where My Little Pomodoro comes in.
In My Little Pomodor, developer Devfloor pairs a suite of productivity and lifestyle tools with a simple and enjoyable levelling-up aspect. The more you concentrate, the more your character's room grows, allowing you to focus when working and enjoy new fun cutscenes when taking a break.
My Little Pomodoro even encourages you to exercise with a squatting minigame to encourage staying fit during a busy day! Joining a suite of other productivity apps which eschew minimalist interfaces and boring design in favour of engaging, gameified mechanics, My Little Pomodoro is slated for a late July release.

The Pomodoro technique is one of those things that is a bit of received wisdom. For some practicing it, it can often feel like a placebo effect. But speaking from experience, I think it does help to focus, especially for those who work better under some sort of pressure. My Little Pomodoro, meanwhile, looks to offer a great way to add some fun to your work day, allowing you to get some exercise, focus and enjoy growing a character's life while yours (hopefully) also becomes more productive. And if that's not a winning formula, I don't know what is. But we'll have to wait for My Little Pomodoro to release and find out for ourselves if it works.
But once you've had a busy workday and put away My Little Pomodoro, maybe it's time to beat the heat by chilling your bones with a horror title? Like the recently released point-and-click adventure True Fear 3 that we just reviewed!
