A Monster Hunter XX demo is coming to the Switch in Japan this month

There's a Monster Hunter XX demo coming to Switch on August 25th. That's the good news. The bad news is it's going to be in Japanese. And you'll have to fiddle about a bit to get your hands on it.

The demo itself is exclusive to the Japanese digital store, but the Switch isn't region locked. So if you want to have a crack at the game you'll need to create a new Japanese eShop account, and then link it to your console.

In all honesty it's not that difficult. And I imagine you're pretty tech savvy. You might not speak Japanese though, but I'm sure you'll be able to work out what you're supposed to be doing.

We still don't know if Monster Hunter XX is actually going to come out in the West. But we will, of course, let you know as soon as we find out.
