Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G makes it to the 1.5 million mark
Is there no stopping the monster loving in Japan?
We're not sure how many more stories we can write about how well Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G is selling in Japan. You probably get the idea: it's very, very popular.
Perhaps we'll stop after this one, but just in case you are still interested – and if you have a party popper to hand Capcom would probably appreciate the gesture of you yanking the string now – the game has now sold 1.5 million copies!
Last week it was at one million mark, today Capcom announced it's managed another half a million. This makes it the fastest selling instalment in the series yet. And for those asleep at the back, that's a series which has sold a whopping 6.8 millions units since its debut on PS2.
Monster Hunter is truly turning into PSP's Pokémon. Although only mainly in Japan because it doesn't seem quite so popular everywhere else. Still, it's given PSP sales a proper kick up the backside there, so we're very pleased.
