Gameloft will deploy Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour on iOS and Android this autumn

Gameloft has released the first teaser trailer for FPS sequel Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour.

The latest instalment in the firm's highly-rated military shooter series was unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show convention in Japan.

The leaked trailer, which has since appeared online (below), features a news report detailing the kidnapping of fictional US president Burke.

We are then given a quick bio of Edward Page, the ex-US Ranger and member of the K.P.R. Alliance who featured in Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation.

It seems like Page is still hacked off with his country of origin, and has been pinpointed as the prime suspect in the kidnapping.

Get to the chopper(s)

We are then treated to a few seconds of in-game footage showing a city square with two low-flying helicopters crossing paths. The voice-over (probably Page himself) promises that you will "Walk away with blood on your hands."

The Modern Combat 4 trailer ends with the promise of a fall (or 'autumn', if that's how you roll) debut on iPhone, iPad, and Android.
