Gameloft shows off Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus screenshots

Touch Arcade has got its mitts on the first screenshots of Gameloft’s new shooter, Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus.
Sequel to fan favourite Modern Combat: Sandstorm, the game looks to have all the lovely Call of Duty-inspired, contemporary warfare that keeps us playing the first game on iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
The screenshots show off manning a tank in an ambiguous Middle Eastern street, knifing some goon in the snow, and gunning down enemies in the jungle.
The images are presented in lovely ‘Retina’ resolution, so iPhone 4 and brand new fourth-generation iPod touch fans can rejoice. We’ll have to wait for iPad confirmation, though.
