Miitomo arrived today in Japan, just as we reported a few days ago.

You can download it here on iOS. It's also available on Android here.

In case you lived under a rock, Miitomo is Nintendo's first ever app on mobile but it's not a game.

Indeed, Miitomo is a social experience that acts as a chatroom, letting you communicate with your friends. All this in a safe and friendly environment that is really dear to Nintendo.

Miitomo ties in with Nintendo's new account and reward system that lets you earn points while playing.

It seems like a lot of free to play apps iAP wise. You can shill up to $75 to get some in game money and there's a pachinko minigame included that will let you unlock more items for your Miis.

Nintendo's second app, coming later this year, will be a game featuring one of the giant's well known IP.

The app does have multiple languages in already, including English, so if you use that guide with the Japanese App Store you should be all set.

In any case, it seems like its worldwide launch is really close. We'll let you know when its available.
