Mia and the Dragon Princess, Wales Interactive's next FMV, is launching in late April

Wales Interactive, the leader in FMV games, has been working on its upcoming title Mia and the Dragon Princess for a while now. The interactive movie follows Mia, who leads a normal life as a barmaid, but things suddenly go south when a mysterious woman appears at her workplace and reveals she is running from violent criminals.

Mia has always dreamed of going on an adventure but the responsibility of her co-workers has always weighed her down. While she is bored with her job as it doesn’t fulfil her life, she can’t leave it as her friends have become a surrogate family. Of course, all this changed when the mysterious woman arrived on her doorstep scared and distraught.

The lady is played by Marshanda and is in peril as she cannot speak English and is on the run. Mia’s adventurous spirit takes control as she takes the woman under her wing in order to find out more about her identity. The path ahead is full of secrets, conspiracies, and danger.

This duo is being chased by a group of thugs, led by the ferocious Walsh (Paul McGann) who eventually shows up at the bar where Mia works. Mia, her co-workers, and some customers are taken hostage and Mia’s boss Matthew (Brian McCardie) ends up being injured. This is when the stakes are raised because lives are at stake here.

Like with most of these games, players will make all the tough decisions, controlling the fate of everyone through their actions. The game offers good replayability too as there are 10 different endings to uncover. Mia and the Dragon Princess will be featured at the Steam Next Fest Event and you can check out the trailer embedded above.

Mia and the Dragon Princess will launch on PC, consoles, and mobile on 21st April.
