Medal of Honor Heroes 2 announced for PSP
EA's new FPS aiming for online glory
EA has today confirmed a new Medal of Honor game is coming to PSP in time for Christmas.
Designed completely from the ground up, MoH Heroes 2 is the sequel to last year's reasonably diverting first-person shooter, which impressed with its online capabilities (you can read our review here).
Here, again, this side of the proceedings has not been overlooked, with 32-player infrastructure support featuring continuous-joining multiplayer battles (where players can jump into games at any time) promised.
Obviously, there is also room on the UMD for a traditional single-player campaign featuring all-new missions – set on June 6th, 1944, the game has you assuming control of OSS Operative John Berg and infiltrating Normandy from behind enemy lines to undermine the Nazi regime.
Currently being developed by the same team responsible for its predecessor, the game's technical abilities are at least assured, as is the likelihood of the ambitious online component delivering on its promise.
If the developer focuses a little more effort on the single-player element this time around, Medal of Honor Heroes 2 could emerge as the leading first-person shooter experience on PSP.
We'll obviously keep this one in our sights so click 'Track It!' to be alerted of any subsequent updates.
