Marvel Snap brings the apocalypse with the Heralds of Galactus season

• Marvel Snap is set to shine the spotlight on the cosmic realm with Galactus and the Silver Surfer
• New First Steps versions of these two, and new heralds, join the lineup
• Two new locations, shop takeovers, and even more are coming to Snap

With the release of Fantastic Four: First Steps, Marvel has brought their first family back to prominence. And while it remains to be seen if they'll be an Avengers-level success, Marvel Snap is certainly celebrating the foursome's return to the silver screen, although it's mainly the villains getting the spotlight in the new Heralds of Galactus season.

Galactus takes centre stage, with the ability to boost your power by +2 if your Herald is in play and winning in another location. Silver Surfer gets their own First Steps version, allowing you to copy the text of an On Reveal card if winning in a location, naturally synergising with Galactus.

But it's not just these two who're getting the spotlight. Many more Cosmic characters are joining the fray, be that Stardust (August 5th), Frankie Raye Nova (12th), The Fallen One (19th) or Cosmic Ghost Rider (August 26th). All of whom boast game-changing abilities.

That's still not all! We've also got Red Shift and Terrax the Tamer (August 5th), joined by Firelord (12th) and Air Walker as the latest High Voltage reward for the returning mode. Each of these new characters has their work cut out for them in two new locations, The Seventh Cosmos and Zenn-la!

And those of you looking for snazzy new looks for your favourite heroes should keep an eye out for upcoming shop takeovers. InHyuk Lee's Casual Pieces series is available from August 12th to the 13th, offering a more laid-back look for many top heroes.

Meanwhile, if you're looking for more cosmic fun, why not take a new angle with the action-packed RPG Bloomtown? In the titular town, you'll find your summer vacation taking an eldritch turn with bizarre otherworldly beings worthy of Galactus threatening the populace, and only a brother and sister duo can stop them.
