Why so serious?

Lost Toys is an upcoming puzzler for iOS that's basically a Rubik's Cube but with trucks and sad music.

In this forthcoming game, you'll poke and prod burnt and broken wooden toys while sombre piano music plinks and plonks in the background.

You should be sad that the toys are broken, you see. That's because they represent your childhood.

The toys are made up of a variety of blocks, which you can twist and push around so that they fit back together in the intended shape of the toy. Get it right in a set number of moves and the toy will spring back to multi-coloured life.

There will be lots of toys for you to try and fix, all dangling down from some sinister mobile in a dark dank-looking room.

It's all a bit on the serious side, to be honest, but there's a solid puzzle game underneath all the sadness and meaning. Oh, and figuring out how to fix the toys is pretty fun.

Lost Toys will go live on the App Store on January 9th.
